Trader’s Village came to DFW in 1973 and has been going strong since. Attendance is heavy at the massive market in Grand Prairie held every Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to dusk, housing more than a thousand merchants with everything from cats and dogs to home furnishings. Equally enticing are the beer and soft drink carts that stroll the marketplace, promising guests relief from the sweltering summer heat in the form of ice cold liquid refreshment.

Third Monday Trade Days in McKinney is a monthly flea market held the weekend before the third Monday of the month. TMTD is another heavily trafficked market with more than 300 vendors and a truly family-oriented environment. In addition to the antiques, collectibles and other fantastic finds, they boast a playground, train and pony rides, wagon/stroller rentals, an indoor mall and fair-like concessions. Fridays hold the most merchants and the best deals.

The Barn Flea Market will be a treat if you’ve never visited Will Rogers in Fort Worth, and the experience comes complete with a very authentic, but not unpleasant cattle aroma wafting from the cattle barns. This particular market is held every Saturday and Sunday and offers patrons food, restrooms, heat in the winter and air in the summer. You can find old records, antiques, vintage pieces and countless other treasures. Will Rogers has plenty of lots to store your vehicle, but all roads lead to a $5 parking fee.
